In a unique promotional spree, actors Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, alongwith director Imtiaz Ali yesterday embarked on an overnight rail journey from Mumbai to Delhi for their upcoming romantic-drama "Tamasha".
The film's team boarded Suvidha Express from Mumbai Central and will have stopages like Vadodara, Kota before their final destination, the national capital.
While this seems to be a first in terms of movie promotions, Ranbir and Deepika earlier took a rail ride as carefree Bunny and shy Naina in their 2013 hit "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani". Dressed casually, both the actors chose to settle down first before posing for shutterbugs. "We have started our journey and I am super excited," Deepika said. It was the actress' wish to travel by train and her co-star was more than willing to fulfil it.
Ranbir shared, "We were anyway travelling to Delhi. So, when Deepika wished to take the train. We went ahead and cancelled the flight tickets." A special coach has been added to the train to accommodate media and the film's team. Security arrangements are in place to avoid any untoward incident. "Tamasha" is Ranbir's second outing with Imtiaz after "Rockstar", whereas Deepika worked with the director in "Love Aaj Kal" and "Cocktail".
