When quizzed on playing another negative role and he says, “Fredrick is an extremely special film. My character has violent shades but has far greater depth. His reactions are out of love and angst.”
When asked why he preferred dark maniacal roles, he says candidly, “positive roles don’t appeal to me as there is very less to do and is full of clichés.” He has no qualms about working with first time director, Rajesh B. “There was a volatile energy on the sets of the film. What I like about newcomer directors is that they don’t come with fixed notions on the sets. Rajesh was very clear about what he wanted, and as a director, he gave the film a very authentic crux. I have played many roles, but this movie has something which is unusually different. You will not be disappointed by this.''
When asked whether he saw himself as a dancing and singing hero, he is non-committal and says he would like to do lead characters like that of Nawazuddin and Irrfan Khan, who are an inspiration for the actor.
