Trending pop-sensation singer-composer-lyricist-actor Avitesh (Aadesh) Shrivastava whose debut single ‘Main Hua Tera’ was profusely blessed by mega-star Amitabh Bachchan, evergreen icon Jeetendra, the gorgeous Poonam Dhillon besides his super-talented ‘maternal uncles’ Bollywood composer-duo Jatin-Lalit, at a formal star-studded event, also has ‘acting’ on his creative agenda. Enthuses ‘Avi’ (Avitesh that is), My passion is music and singing just like my composer-dad Aadesh whose untimely death had shattered all of us. But it was my dad’s dream that I should face the camera so I shot for my debut-single video. Now my mom Vijayeta Pandit a former Bollywood eminent actress who has so many super-hit romantic musical films to her credit, wants me to also become a filmy hero. Since acting runs in my genes, I feel, why not give it a try. Given a choice I would love to be paired opposite the gorgeous Sara Ali Khan,” blushes Avitesh who shortened his name to ‘Avi’
“That’s because out there in Los Angeles (U.S.), where I studied music, most of them found it difficult to pronounce my name. Secondly, ‘the acronym AVI also stands for Aadesh (my dad), V for Vijayeta (mom) and ‘I’ represents International, so I guess it’s a mascot for me,” he explains.
Recalling his close bonding with the Shrivastava family, Amitabh shared that “Aadesh was just like my younger brother and it gives me a sense of pride to launch Avi’s single ‘Main Hua Tera’. Let me add that Avitesh is not just Aadesh’s son, but also his true, worthy ‘inheritor’.” Meanwhile Jeetendra offered valued advice to ‘Avi. “Never hastily climb up the tree of success, you may fall. Instead grow and progress gracefully.”
