She has done more than 25 films in Tollywood and has a nude scene in her resume. Now she is all set for Bollywood with the erotic thriller, ‘Hate Story’!
How did ‘Hate Story’ happen for you?
It’s entirely due to Vikram Bhatt, who is my guide and mentor. One fine day he contacted me and narrated the whole script to me and I was more than happy to do a ‘Vikram Bhatt’ film.
Reportedly it’s a desi version of ‘Basic Instinct’ with you playing Sharon Stone’s character?
No. Nothing of that sort. It’s an original script written by Vikram which has emotional drama and thriller elements too.
Did you feel uncom-fortable enacting the hot steamy scenes in the film?
Everyone right from the director to the spotboys made it entirely comfortable for me. I was a bit apprehensive in the beginning but the unit was very understanding and nice.
How was working with your co-stars like?
Nikhil Dwivedi is a fun guy and it was great to work with him as was Gulshan Devaiah, who has four Hindi films to his credit.
And the director?
Vivek Agnihotri is a top director with successful films like ‘Chocolate’ and ‘Dan Dhana Dhan Goal’ to his credit and whatever I have done in the film is his concept and the whole credit for my comfort level should go to my director.
So would you be making Mumbai your home?
Firstly, I would like to gauge the response to my film and I am getting scripts to read and so I will announce my plans when I am ready.
