Director Pankaj Kapur‘s ‘Mausam’ starring Shahid Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor has earned ample curiosity after the promos were unveiled. Director Pankaj Kapur known for his disciplinarian ways has a unique habit known to select few. Kapur is a collector of love letters. Not any love letters, but his own love letters that all the women in his life have written to him. The canny Kapur has now come up with a bright idea to do justice to those works of romantic words. Kapur would like them to be published as a book of love letters or love notes, aptly titled ‘Mausam Of Love’.
Furthermore, he has chosen the most opportune moment to do so – on the eve of his romantic directorial debut ‘Mausam’. Kapur intends to use a snapshot of Sonam Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor on the cover, a rain sequence in the flick which, incidentally, happens to be his favourite moment from the film and epitomises the spirit of romance.
Kapur, as per insiders, has preserved all the hand written love letters he received since his school days till date and over the years there were quite a few.
Laughs Kapur, “What can I say? I was and am a very romantic guy and girls are quite fond of me. Most of the love letters are poems, shayaris, couplets or beautiful emotions.” Close sources squeal that Kapur has a collection of more than 400 letters. And though those letters will find their way into the book, they will be minus any personal names and connotations so that it doesn’t hurt loved ones sentiments.
