Despite his roly-poly ‘Golu uncle’ image, suave actor Ram Kapoor has a huge female fan following and is among the geenay-chunay star actors who successfully balance both their TV serial career (Bade Achhe Lagte Hain on Sony) and Bollywood movies career. Currently, Ram whose latest movie titled Mere Dad Ki Maruti (MDKM) released last week, is thrilled with the initial public response.
Reacts Ram, “Initially, we were tossing various title options, but later I came up with this title MDKM, because the Maruti car owned by my father (screen character) plays a riveting role in the hilarious movie,” he shrugs.
About his teleivision serials, “I will never quit Bade Achhe … because the serial is sentimentally significant for me,” clarifies the bulky Kapoor.
The affable actor has his logic funda. “When audiences love to watch me the way I am, there is no reason for me to get into the slim-trim mode. If at all, in future, I decide to reduce, it would be possibly on health grounds or for the sake of my wife and kids,” he signs off.
