Sonakshi wants to play Madhubala on the silver screen
Actress Sonakshi Sinha, who played a character from the ’50s era in period love story Lootera, has now expressed her desire to essay the role of late actress Madhubala in a biopic. Sinha recently said in an interview that she would love to play Madhubala if a biopic is ever made on her life.
Madhubala, known for her roles in films such as Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, Howrah Bridge and Mughal-e-Azam, passed away at the age of 36. Madhubala was often compared to iconic Hollywood actress Marilyn Monroe for her similar position in the film industry.
Sonakshi will be next seen opposite Akshay Kumar and Imran Khan in Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara!, which has been directed by Milan Luthria and revolves around the clash between a mentor and a protege for the love of a woman.
Salman breaks up with Lulia Vantur?
Salman Khan’s love life always makes headlines and so do his break-ups and this time, Khan is in news because of the latter. Reportedly, Salman has broken up with his alleged Romanian girlfriend Lulia Vantur and buzz has it that he did so because of his family’s intervention. Sources claim that Salman ended his romance with the Romanian actress and TV presenter as constant buzz about her being married didn’t go down well with the Dabangg actor’s khandaan. Insiders claim that Lulia kept denying the rumours of her being married to Grammy nominated musician Marius Moga but finally Sallu’s family stepped in and took control of the situation. Mediavine has it that Vantur has already packed her bags and has gone back to Romania.
Vidya’s cameo in ‘Once Upon...’
Vidya to do a cameo in Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara his piece of news will surely bury all speculations that all is not well between Vidya Balan and her mentor Ekta Kapoor. Sources claim that Balan will be seen in a cameo in upcoming Balaji flick Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara!, which stars Akshay Kumar, Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha. Vidya will make her appearance in a song sequence, where she will be seen wearing a burqa. The song was shot at Film City around two months ago and Balaji sources claim that Vidya readily agreed to be a part of the song when she was approached. Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara! is directed by Milan Luthria.
Ranbir voice in Besharam
He has thrilled you with his acting skills and dance moves and now, Ranbir Kapoor is all set with his singing talent. The actor has reportedly lent his voice for one of the songs from his upcoming film Besharam, titled ‘Love Ki Ghanti’. The song, penned by Rajeev Barnwal, was unveiled yesterday. The music of the peppy number has been composed by Lalit Pandit and it has been sung by Ranbir, Sujeet Shetty and Amitosh Nagpal. Though ‘Love Ki Ghanti’ has been shot in Film City, in Mumbai, the makers have recreated the busy streets of Delhi for the song.
Adah Sharma to make South debut
Adah, who debuted in Bollywood with 1920 will soon enter the South film industry. She has been roped in by popular Telugu director Puri Jagannadh in his next titled Heart Attack. This romantic drama will also have Nithiin Reddy, who has recently given back to back blockbusters, as the lead along with Adah. The actress is currently busy shooting for Karan Johar’s Hasee Toh Phasee. Once she wraps up this Sidharth - Parineeti starrer, she will immediately start with the shoot of her South debut venture. Puri Jagannadh had a lot of actresses on his wishlist but Adah bagged the role after getting selected at the auditions. It seems that the director was very impressed with her performance in 1920 and trusted her acting skills completely for the role. Heart Attack is produced by Vaishno Academy and will be shot in Spain and Goa. The movie is slated to go on floors in the first week of September.
Kick to release on Eid next year
With this year’s Eid release Chennai Express breaking all the records, looks like Salman Khan doesn’t wish to let go of this auspicious occasion next year. Also, considering that an Eid release has always been lucky for this Dabangg star, he is now planning to release his film Kick during the occasion in 2014.The film also marks Sajid Nadiadwala’s debut as a director. The exact release date is said to be July 27, 2014. Also Sajid who is currently busy shooting for the film in Glasgow revealed that he would like to re-create the Eid magic for Salman with Kick. Besides Salman, Kick also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Randeep Hooda in prominent roles.
