Thursday, August 27, 2015

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan says he and his actress-politician wife Jaya have always treated son Abhishek and daughter Shweta equally.

The 72-year-old "Piku" star spoke on gender equality on the occasion of Women's Equality Day.

"Women's Equality Day... Between my daughter and my son there shall be equality from us as parents...," he wrote on his Twitter page.

Bachchan also paid a tribute to saint and missionary Mother Teresa on her 105th birth anniversary, via his Twitter account. "Remembering Mother Teresa... Her sacrifice and dedication...! In one picture I stand behind her..." he captioned a collage of two photos of himself and her. She died on September 5, 1997 at the age of 87.
