Vivacious international model-actress Nargis Fakhri, whose movie ‘Main Tera Hero’ (MTH) opposite Varun Dhawan ('Student of the Year') releases today, has her shooting ‘dates’ committed for her Hollywood movie directed by Paul Feig, where she plays a secret agent.
The spunky, outspoken actress who was recently in the news for her bold, bohemian comments on Karan Johar’s chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’, feels that MTH, directed by David Dhawan, will showcase her flair for comedy.
Gushes Nargis, “It’s an honour to work with David-sir and Ekta Kapoor. I play this filthy rich pampered protected daughter of an underworld don.”
It may be recalled that Nargis had also played a live-wire media reporter opposite John Abraham in the critically acclaimed movie ‘Madras Café’.
Meanwhile her detractors have alleged that the feisty Fakhri, having shifted focus to her overseas project, is now “unavailable” for the local MTH promotions. Refuting the charges, she counters, “That’s not true. I have already participated in a string of promotional events.”
Nargis insists she enjoys the support of her co-stars, despite all the media hype. “They are all aware that the Hollywood project is an awesome opportunity for me and they are not peeved, as is made out to be.”
Once she returns to Bollywood, she says, “I would be negotiating more Hindi movie offers.”
She feels that the ongoing T-20 World Cup cricket matches may not really prove to be a ‘spoil-sport’ in snatching away theatre audiences. “Its only a few hours on certain days. Movie-buffs who are hooked on to David Dhawan’s brand of l-O-l comedy, will certainly check out MTH playing on the big screen-pitch,” she signs off with a repartee in her foreign accent.
