Pop star Miley Cyrus has slammed Donald Trump for his recent post comparing the appearance of his political rival’s wife to his own. The Republican Presidential candidate goaded fellow White House hopeful, Ted Cruz by retweeting a photo on Thursday, that compares Heidi Cruz with Trump’s own wife, Melania.
The text on the photo read, “No need to ‘spill the beans’ the images are worth a thousand words.” Trump has been threatening to “spill the beans” on Cruz’s wife on social media, but has given no indication as to what his revelations are about.
Now, 23 year old Cyrus has waded into the political fray, and called the controversial billionaire entrepreneur out for being sexist. Posting a screenshot of an article about Trump and the image he retweeted, she wrote, “Trump can’t stop won’t stop saying stupid sexist...!!!! Comparing two women! Are you kidding! We will not allow you to destroy everything we have overcome as women! I feel as though we are stronger than ever as a unit. We have an understanding and respect for one another. (more than Trump can say about anyone, his fellow candidates, other races and religions, other public figures, just HUMAN BEINGS (sic) in general, and of course animals!
