“I am a big fan of Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit. It has been this way since my childhood. Even my insipiration is Madhuri, her grace, her dance moves, her acting and in general she inspires me to the core”, confesses Madhurima Tuli in a candid chat with Sandeep Hattangadi
Did you expect so much fame for your Airtel commercial?
No, I did not expect so much fame with the Airtel ad. The whole ad worked out really well for me and even the controversy around it helped my visibility a lot.
How did you bag 'Baby'?
I bagged 'Baby' because of the Airtel ad. The director, Neeraj Pandey liked me in the ad and instantly told the casting director to get in touch with me for 'Baby'. And there I was in their office waiting to be cast in the film.
Were you satisfied with your role in Baby?
I was very satisfied with the role. The experience of the whole film was just amazing and has really helped me in general. It could have been better if my song was a part of the film.
Tell us something about your role in 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani'?
I can't speak much about my role in Humari Adhuri Kahani it but all I can say is that it is a guest appearance and a very important role which changes the track of the whole film.
Is it right that you have signed a Hollywood film?
Yes. I have signed my first Hollywood film. The film is called 'The Black Prince' and is based on the last prince of Punjab. This film is essayed on the life of Maharaja Duleep Singh and Madhurima is set to play the young Rani Jindan which effectively means she is playing the younger version of Shabana Azmi, who is playing Maharaja Duleep Singh's mother.
Are you open to television offers, reality shows?
Yes! I am getting lots of offers from TV in general actually. I am certainly open to doing both and as far as reality shows are concerned, I would want to get into a dance reality show. That is something that I look forward to.
Any film projects in the pipeline?
There are a few things happening but I won't be able to talk about them now.
What kind of TV shows do you like to watch?
Currently I am watching 'Breaking Bad' and would soon start watching 'Games Of Thrones'. Other than this I follow 'Kumkum Bhagya' as I was a part of this show.
