Those who have checked out the promos of seasoned film-maker Suneel Darshan's romantic-triangle thriller ‘Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha’ seem to be mesmerized by the sheer showmanship. The film which has chartbusting musical tracks by maestro composer Nadeem Saifi (of duo Nadeem-Shravan fame) has Suneel’s suave son Shiv Darshan co-starring with charming debutante Natasha Fernandez and the smart actor Upen Patel.
Interestingly for Natasha who is being introduced in ‘Ek Haseena...’, who shares her birthday (Oct 11) with that of superstar Amitabh Bachchan, her debut was like a fairy-tale. Recalls effervescent Natasha, “It was at an informal celebration, that Suneel-sir spotted me animatedly conversing, whilst munching salads and casually sent a message across. Although I am otherwise a good singer, I secretly dreamt of becoming an actress, with Aishwarya-Rai-Bachchan being my icon. There I was, getting this golden offer of a break-thru as the lead in a reputed banner. So stunningly shocked was I, that I remained dumbstruck for two hours thereafter. The best part was that even my screen-character is called ‘Natasha’. It was as if I was destined to play the lead role,” smiles the newbie heroine who shares a cozy crackling on-screen chemistry with both her handsome heroes.
“Love is the deadliest deception. That’s the underlying theme of our movie ‘EHTEDT’. Because love can make or even break someone. Most of today’s tech-savvy generation doesn’t believe in ‘love at first sight’. Maybe it’s ‘love at seventh sight’. Compatibility matters most,” shrugged Lady Fernandez.
