“Don’t be too self-obsessed with yourselves, clicking selfies 24 x 7, but try to devote some quality time to body-care and de-stressing yourself,” advised evergreen Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon who celebrates her birthday today (Oct 26).
The ‘ageless’ Raveena whose recent movie ‘Maatr’ elicited critical acclaim, was in a bouyant mood after she inaugurated a classy customized ‘rejuvenating’ destination ‘Thai Villa’, which is co-owned by certified seasoned experts Mehjabeen Khan and Shura Khan.
Asked how relevant is ‘looking beautiful’ for an actress in today’s times, the outspoken Tandon responded saying, “Honestly, I feel beauty is only skin-deep. Ultimately, your face and your eyes are the mirrors to your soul. Whatever you are within, it gets reflected outside. In cinema, it’s not always necessary to be a ‘classical beauty’. Even if one is dark or dusky, you could still be stunningly gorgeous. Legendary actress Smita Patil is an ideal example. She had that amazing caramel colour-complexion, which I love. At times, I would bask away in the sun, wondering why I can’t get that tan-skin colour”, shrugged the ‘cheez badi hai mast-mast’ actress.
