Kareena says Rishi does not lose his cool easily

Tuesday, September 20, 2016

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has come out in support of his actor-uncle Rishi Kapoor over reports of him misbehaving with media persons and fans during Ganpati visarjan, saying the veteran star doesn't lose his cool just like that.

A video surfaced online purportedly showing Rishi and his actor-brother Randhir Kapoor slapping and pushing a few media persons and fans during the immersion of their family Ganesh idol on September 15.

“I wanted to know what exactly happened. I don't know what happened that day. There must have been something for him (Rishi Kapoor) to be upset. Otherwise, I don't think a man of his stature would lose his cool. I think something would have happened,” told Kareena.

“He is a very senior man and an intelligent person. He knows what he is doing. Obviously, something would have triggered that upset him. There were so many people and it was raining,” she said. However, the 'Ki and Ka' actress did not speak anything about her father (Randhir) who, too, features in the video.

The incident occurred when members of the Kapoor family were on their way to immerse the idol, installed at R K Studios at Chembur, in the sea near Shivaji Park in Dadar, Central Mumbai. Rishi has said the video in question has been tweaked to show them in bad light and he will take legal action against the person behind it.
