Karan Johar, who will be next seen making a full-fledged acting debut in Anurag Kashyap‘s ‘Bombay Velvet’, was all praises for his co-star Anushka Sharma in an interview and also confessed that he was not so impressed with her when he saw her for the first time.
Talking about the time when Aditya Chopra was casting for ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’, Johar said that when Aditya told him about his decision to cast Anushka in the film opposite Shah Rukh Khan, he made a face and tried his best to convince Chopra to cast some other actress. It was only after he saw the film that he personally apologised to Anushka for coming in the way of her debut role.
Johar will be seen playing a sinister businessman named Kaizad Khambatta whereas Anushka Sharma will be seen playing a jazz singer named Rosie Noronha in ‘Bombay Velvet’, which releases this weekend.
