All eyes are definitely on National Award winning actress Kangana Ranaut whose maverick movies ‘Krrish 3’, ‘Rajjo’, ‘Queen’ and ‘Revolver Rani’ are releasing in steady succession. As the half-human half-man yet stylish mutant character ‘Kaya’ in ‘Krrish 3’, Kangana has been highly appreciated by both critics and the audience.
“My role in ‘Krrish-3’ is not a vamp’s role as is being perceived, but has multi-layered glam, seductive, bizarre, scary shades with a romantic undercurrent as well. It was a tough challenge as there were demanding breath-taking action-fight stunt scenes, in that customized suit, which I guess was a new dimension for me. Major credit also goes to Rakesh-ji and my co-star Hrithik for their constant inspiring support,” smiles the ravishing Kangana, who is acclaimed for looking distinctly different every time she makes an appearance at events.
Currently, Kangana is earning praise for her unconventional performance, as is evident in trailers, in the upcoming ‘Rajjo’ as a brazen yet angelic and bubbly nautch girl. “This is the story of a young Brahmin boy falling in love with a mujra dancer and their innocent romance. My bold, coquettish and realistic sex-worker role in ‘Rajjo’ directed by Vishwas Patil has multi-layered shades. In fact, I actually met up with a few courtesans from Mumbai’s red-light areas to converse with them and observe their street-smart yet courteous mannerisms which floored me. My fans will also get to watch my diverse dancing skills,” chuckles Kangana whose iconic reference for her ‘Rajjo’ role is the legendary Waheeda Rehmaan in ‘Pyaasa’.
In sheer contrast to her previous complex screen-characters Kangana’s Delhi-based naïve urbanite character in ‘Queen’ has its sensitive jilted romance moments. “Life has a limited span. Never take it for granted is the inspiring message in ‘Queen’,” signs off the effervescent actress.
