Kabir Bedi ‘s upcoming movie on ‘drunken driving’

The tall, imposing international actor Kabir Bedi, who is more in the news for his colourful personal life, has been busy shooting for foreign and Bollywood movie assignments.

Recently he was seen at the music-trailer launch of actor-turned-director Akshay Anand’s movie ‘Jaane Kyun De Yaaron’, where the bass-voiced Bedi plays the riveting role of a transport company owner. Reveals Akshay, “Frankly speaking, Kabir-sir is like the third hero in my movie, releasing in mid-January,  which has two other upcoming heroes. The satirical theme of the maverick movie is drunken driving; how drivers are framed and how the law-enforcement agencies make a fool out of the gullible common-man. The movie also exposes corruption. Since I needed actors who would be convincing as next-door neighborhood guys, I have cast talented upcoming stars (Raghu Raja and Abhishek Sharma, heroine Chetna Pande and glam-babe model-dancer Heena Panchal) instead of star-faces.” The debutant director also plays the cameo role of a lawyer.

Incidentally, in the past, suave Akshay has acted in a string of Bollywood milestone movies including ‘Zakhm’, ‘Tamanna’ and of course the Aamir Khan-starrer ‘Ghulam’.  “It’s my honour and privilege that I got to direct an illustrious global actor like Kabir,” signs off Akshay.
