Vivacious TV star and Bollywood actress Digangana Suryavanshi (‘Diggy’) who has this unique record of two of her debut Hindi movies (‘Jalebi’ and ‘FryDay’) releasing on the same day in October last year and three months later was also seen opposite Govinda in the controversial ‘Rangeela Raja’, seemed super-delighted as she spoke exclusively to ADC.
That’s because her fourth movie ‘Hippi’ which is a Southside Tollywood regional movie released yesterday to a “super-terrific response”.
Enthuses ‘Diggy’, “In this youth-centric musical romantic thriller movie ‘Hippi’ I am cast opposite Telugu heart-throb hero Kartikeya G. and our movie is directed by Southside ‘showman’ film-maker T N Krishna and produced by Thanu-Sir,“ shares the spunky actress who also made her presence felt in the popular TV reality show ‘Bigg Boss-9’.
Clarifies Digangana, “The title implies a casual, carefree approach, but has nothing to do with drugs-abusing hippies. It’s an engaging story where I play a strong girl. Our movie was also shot on exotic locales in Sri Lanka.”
Was she jittery doing the smooching-scenes, with her handsome hero Kartikeya? She responds with, “It’s an important integral scene for the movie so it’s comes out right. It’s the first time I’ve kissed on screen and the major reason is the story being the driving force and then it was shot aesthetically,” shrugs ‘pretty-tough’ Digangana who besides the South regional lingo, also “had to learn to ‘drive’ a rugged motor-bike weaving through the traffic on the Sri Lankan streets, as part of my shoot-scenes”.
Contrary to speculation, staunch Mumbai-girl ‘Diggy’ clarifies that “I have no plans to shift residence to Hyderabad, as of now, since I propose to continue to perfectly balance both Hindi and South movies offers.”
