One ofactor Aamir Khan's brother, Faisal Khan has been knocking on the doors of stardom and now, his half brother, Hyder Khan is all set to make his big screen debut in director Raja Bundela’s, ‘Dil To Deewana Hai’ releasing soon.
ADC speaks to the budding actor, and he says, “Zeenat Aman plays my mother and the story is about immigrants settled abroad, and how the second generation of immigrants are facing problems while interacting with their first generation parents. The whole film has been shot in Malaysia and South actress, Sadaa is cast opposite me but I don’t have the usual singing and dancing role, but a serious one. It’s a love story with a difference and has a Hindu, Muslim and a Sikh character woven into it”.
When asked about his favourite stars, Hyder says, “I admire stars like Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir, but I would prefer being an actor rather than a star, an actor like Nawazuddin or Irrfan who are always the characters they play rather than stars”.
We quizzed him as to whether he takes tips from his star brother, he vehemently denies and says that he would like to make it on his own steam but wouldn’t mind doing a film starring all his brothers. He adds, ''It was a great rapport with Sadaa, and was wonderful working with her. I didn't feel I was working with a big star. Zeenat really made me comfortable on the sets and is so down to earth”. He also thanks producer Deepak Sharma who gave him his big break in the film.
Will this be another Khan on the threshold of stardom? Let's wait and watch!
