After Rekha walked out of Abhishek Kapoor's ''Fitoor'', she was replaced by Tabu and the latter recently shot for the film in Kashmir. Though she joined the project at a very later stage, she didn't have to do a lot of preparations as she had played a Kashmiri in Vishal Bhardwaj's ''Haider'' as well. Fitoor too, is set in Kashmir and the preparation that she did for Haider came in handy. Since she was quite familiar with the local language and the place, she was very comfortable shooting for the movie.
A source says, "the actor learnt Kashmiri while shooting for ''Haider'', which was immensely helpful this time around as well. Tabu could communicate easily with the locals there, and was also familiar with the area."
She also shared her knowledge with her cast members and Abhishek. "She was happy that she got an opportunity to shoot in Kashmir once again, since she loves the Valley a lot," adds the source.
Based on Charles Dickens' 'Great Expectations', ''Fitoor'' also stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif.
