“Although macho star-actor Harshvardhan Rane had declined an offer from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’ camp to play a ‘negative’ shades role in ‘Ram Leela’, he is optimistic that he would definitely get to work with SLB banner in future. “Getting an offer from SLB itself is like an Oscar award nomination for me,”shrugs Harsha, whose movie ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ had its world television premiere last Sunday on the ‘& Pictures’ channel. “There was a terrific response from home-audiences who were unable to catch a show of ‘STK’ at nearby theatres,” insists the sinewy Rane who has a string of Telugu regional mega-hits to his credit especially ‘Avunu’ and its sequel as also ‘Thakita Thakita’ . Meanwhile producer-actor John Abraham has cast Rane in the lead cast opposite Ridhima Sood, in his upcoming movie ‘Satraa Ko Shaadi Hain’ . “It’s a fun family film that revolves around the crazy chaotic situations that happen prior to a wedding and John has enacted a cameo role as well. It’s a naive, shy yet impactful character,” reveals the actor who intends to continue to act in both Hindi and Telugu movies. Besides director Bejoy Nambiar’s untitled action-drama where he plays the protagonist, Rane who hails from Gwalior, has also acted in a short film titled ‘Khaamakha’ directed by Aarti Bagdi. “This is a breezy kahaani highlighting the English-speaking handicap and how, we often make biased assumptions. This movie with Manjari Phadnis paired opposite me, will be released during this week to mark the Hindi Diwas,” he informs.
