Failures have made me stronger: Shraddha Kapoor

Although her previous outing ‘Rock On-2’ was a debacle at the box-office, effervescent heroine Shraddha Kapoor seems upbeat. “Iss Friday ko ‘figure out kar lenge’, the audience response to our movie ‘OK Jaanu’. Considering that the last time my screen-pairing with Aditya Roy Kapur in ‘Aashiqui-2 ’ received a phenomenal response, I am nervous but confident, that there is a major ‘repeat value’ of our chemistry in ‘OK Jaanu’, co-produced by Karan Johar. Being a remake of a Southside Mani Rathnam Tamil hit - it’s already tried and tested. But we have taken care of being different and to not look repetitive,” smiles Shraddha who feels that ‘cinematic history may repeat itself’.

“Last time, before ‘Aashiqui-2’ had released, both Aditya and I had a few fiasco films prior to that. Now before the release of ‘OK Jaanu’ it’s the similar scenario for both of us. Failures, in fact, have made me stronger,” said Shraddha, even as she bashes and slashes  all rampant rumours of her alleged off-screen link-up with her ‘Rock On’ co-star Farhan Akhtar.

On being quizzed about what was the ‘khaas baat’ about her ‘Jaanu’ screen-character. “Director Shaad Ali asked me to speak in a particular way so as to appear more mature than my hero. Although there are passionate lovey-dovey scenes, my ‘realistic’ character will also make its impact in the dialogues,” disclosed the ‘Ek Villain’ heroine, who seemed apprehensive about her upcoming ‘underworld-centric’ movie ‘Haseena - The Queen of Mumbai’. “It’s my first grey-shaded lead character, and I am really scared playing the title-role,” she added.
