With 2012 seeing a list of high profile appearances Hrithik Roshan enters 2013 with heightened anticipation for another blockbuster year. There are strong rumors that he will start the year filming the Hindi remake of the Hollywood flick Knight and Day with leading lady Katrina Kaif. The year 2013 will culminate with the release of his home production, Krrish 3.
With par excellence acting skills, a striking persona of an Adonis , and a string of box office hits to his credit superstar Hrithik Roshan, who celebrates his birthday on January 10, has earned himself much critical acclaim during his acting tenure. Hrithik started 2012 with the box office success Agneepath, which garnered rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. Hrithik was quite sceptical before signing the film, but the strong script convinced him to get on board. “When I read the script I was shocked. As an actor it touched me. I was defenceless. I had no reason to say no,” said the actor.
Hrithik’s performance was critically acclaimed in films like Jodhaa Akbar, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Dhoom 2. Despite having such an impressive body of work, he says he can’t “act”. “My premise is that I can only act well if I am in that character. I have to know everything about my character. If I am not living it, then I can’t act. If you ask me to imitate or act, I can’t do it. Others can because they have that talent,” he smiles. Hrithik is honest while spelling out the importance of his forthcoming home production Krrish 3. Speaking about it, the actor says, Krrish 3 is the most difficult film as I play two roles. If I want victory again, I’ll have to go through the battle again. The biggest hit of my life is Agneepath. Second comes Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and the third biggest hit is Dhoom 2. They surpassed my father’s films. Now the challenge is with Krrish 3. I want it to be my biggest hit.”
Since Hrithik is on safe and happy ground today with successful films, how would he react to failure? Countered Hrithik, “First of all there’s no failure. I have only grown, evolved and taken feedback. Once you understand the reasons, the failure ceases. I am happiest when I am at service…Service to my family, service to my loved ones, service to the world and my fans.”
Hrithik has also beaten tough competition from across countries to top the list of the ‘50 Sexiest Asian Men In The World’ for the second year in a row. The list is compiled by a reputed UK-based media house. Hrithik admits that topping the list was indeed a surprise. “I am extremely humbled at the decision of the public, also a little embarrassed as I just can’t imagine myself as sexy!”
