Priyanka Chopra has been in the United States for quite sometime now and we have recently learned that she will be a part of the pilot episode of a new American show called 'Quantico'. Naturally a lot of questions came up about her ethnicity on the show as she has always said that she did not want to play a 'typical' Indian.
She has now cleared the air by stating that her character Alex Weaver is half Indian and half Caucasian. While her accent has been spoken about in India (remember Kareena Kapoor Khan on Koffee With Karan?) she has said that she is undergoing coaching to sound more American in the US.
She took to Twitter to say, "Find it so funny that in India people think I have an American accent anyway but here I'm getting coached to get a more American accent, lol" Can't blame the masses PeeCee, a lot of actresses put on an accent and we just don't know who to believe!
