Priyanka Chopra is no longer in Jasmeet Reen's ''Gustakhiyan'', the bio-pic chronicling the stormy relationship between poet Sahir Ladhianvi and author Amrita Pritam. While Irrfan has been roped in to play Sahir, it was reported that Priyanka Chopra was to play the love of his life.
"Since Priyanka got along like a house on fire with the ''Gustakhiyan'' producer Sanjay Bhansali, the reports of her stepping into author Amrita Pritam's role were taken to be authentic. However the truth is, Priyanka is not doing ''Gustakhiyan."
So who will play Amrita Pritam? The buzz is Sanjay Bhansali wants his 'Mastani' Deepika Padukone in Amrita Pritam's part. After Piku where they played a tentative couple, Irrfan and Deepika would get a chance to do a full-fledged romantic film. It would be terrific follow-up. On the other hand, Irrfan and Priyanka have only done the flop ''Saat Khoon Maaf'' together.
