Despite the distracting presence of a galaxy of glam awardees that comprised popular Bollywood oomph-glam-girls including Digangana Suryavanshi ( ‘Most Talented Actress’), Alankrita Sahai (‘Face Of The Year’ ) and Angelina Krislinzki (‘Style-Diva’) it was actor Mahaakshay (Mimoh) Chakraborty who proved to be the surprise-twist at the well-attended ‘Mumbai Achievers Awards-2019’ convened by debonair style-icon-entrepreneur-impresario Ahsaan Rehan, recently.
The macho Mahaakshay was honored with the Achiever trophy for his amazing performance in a short-film titled ‘Ab Mujhe Udnaa Hai’ directed by Sujoy Mukherji.
Incidentally, Sujoy was also honoured for his sensitive direction of the hard-hitting 21-plus internationally award-winning film which highlights female resilience and courage.
Enthused Mahaakshay, “My dad (Mithun-da), who is fit n’ fine and back in action, having acted in ‘The Tashkent Files’ will feel surely feel proud of my being recognized for my acting talent. In this short film, I play the main role of the ‘dance-guru’ who also mentors and counsels the young expressive dancer-girl (Jasmine),” reveals Mimoh who will soon be seen in this upcoming web-series show titled ‘The Great Gama Pehalwaan’.
Produced by Salman Khan, Mimoh is cast as the youngest brother of the legendary wrestler. The other celeb-awardees who attended the Awards super-event put together by 'Oyevent' and emceed by the vivacious Simran Ahuja, included eminent lawyer-activist Abha Singh, style-icon RJ Siddharth Kannan. Krishika Lulla, ravishing actress-producer Mansi Dovhal , ‘Page-3’ model-actress Honey Bhalla and the lively actress-siblings Saba Khan and Somi Khan ( of ‘Bigg Boss-12’ fame).
