AIB comedian Tanmay Bhat has found himself in hot water after his jokes on singer Lata Mangeshkar and Sachin Tendulkar invited the wrath of everyone in the film industry as well on social media, and is already facing flak from social media for poking fun at singer Lata Mangeshkar and cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, in a video and it seems that the chubby comedian's life is about to get more complicated.
While condemnation for the disgusting display of drollery aimed at the two Bharat Ratnas has grown from every quarter, news now comes of Maharashtra's Raj Thackeray's MNS filing an FIR against Tanmay Bhat and also issuing a diktat that Bhat be not allowed to perform anywhere in Maharashtra. Reportedly, MNS Chitrapat Sena president, Ameya Khopkar is planning to lodge a FIR against Bhat for his insulting remarks on Mangeshkar and Tendulkar. Confirming the same, Khopkar also demanded that the video be taken down immediately.
Expressing deep disgust at the desecration of the two legends Pahlaj Nihalani says, "Banning Tanmay Bhat in Maharashatra is not enough. Lataji and Sachin Tendulkar don't belong to Maharashtra only. They are a part of every Indian's life. This fellow has insulted every Indian. He should be arrested
immediately without any further delay and dealt with severely. Doing this to institutions, who have devoted their lives to doing our country proud...shame!"
Madhur Bhandarkar expresses disgust and disbelief at the AIB antic. "I couldn't see the whole video when someone sent it to me. I was sickened. To say things like 'You are 500 years old you should die' to Lataji ....chee chee! Who finds this funny? It's downright morbid. Criminal cases must be registered against him."
