“Let’s break the ice, before it melts,” a catchy romantic repartee line from ‘showman’ film-maker Anil Sharma’s latest action-thriller ‘Genius’ has already caught on with a large number of pan-India youngsters, thanks to its slick trailer. The movie ‘Genius’ releasing on August 24, will launch Anil’s son Utkarsh Sharma opposite this charming newcomer Ishita Chauhan.
“Already the on-screen lovey-dovey chemistry of Utkarsh and Ishita in the song ‘Tera Fitoor’ has received a lot of praise from stalwarts like Dharmendra and Hema Malini and lakhs of film-buffs.
Enthuses director Sharma, “The theme of our movie is ‘dil ki ladaai dimaag sey’ (battle between the heart and the mind) and in our movie the wicked war of wits is between my son Utkarsh who is pitted against the powerful villainish ‘gangster’ character played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Since the script required a fresh face, I cast Ishita, who exudes this innocent charm. As the icing on the cake, we have awesome, rocking melodies by Himesh Reshammiya,” insists Sharma senior, who is optimistic that the movie title ‘Genius’ starting with ‘G’ will once again be lucky for his son Utkarsh, just as it happened during ‘Gadar’.
As for the exuberant affable Ishita, she feels her career has revolved a ‘full circle’ because she acted as a ‘child artiste’ in Himesh Reshammiya’s movie ‘Aap Kaa Surroor’ (2007).
Interestingly, hero Utkarsh considers iconic Dilip Kumar and Nargis as his ‘idols while Ishita’s hot favourites are Ranbir ‘Barfi’ Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan.
