Mahesh Bhatt makes his singing debut in Mr. X
Mahesh Bhatt loves a new challenge. It has been the curve of his life and career and we hear that the producer-director will debut as a singer in Emraan Hashmi starrer 3D thriller 'Mr X'. Mahesh Bhatt will be singing a song titled 'You Can Call Me X'' and the makers are planning to shoot a music video on it with Emraan and Amyra Dastur.
Mahesh Bhatt confirms, "Music is an inseparable part of me. And every time before we record a song first, I sing it. I was doing the same for 'Mr. X' when Jeet's eyes shone up like a child who had found a rare gift. He said, you are going to do it. I didn't see a reason, why not! Perhaps the song was made for me."
Director Vikram Bhatt adds, "We were in a music sitting when Jeet Ganguli was making us hear this song for the first time there was me, there was Bhatt Saab, Mukeshji and of course we liked the song, and what happened is that Jeet said that 'itna' female voice 'hoga' and then 'You Can Call Me X' will be in a male voice so Bhatt saab said give me the paper let me sing the male voice so when he sang it, it just sounded right and then whoever sang it after that didn't sound right enough so we told Bhatt sir you should."
‘Tanu Weds Manu 2’ a real sequel: Krishika Lulla
With Kangana Ranaut and R Madhvan reprising their roles, producer Krishika Lulla feels 'Tanu Weds Manu 2' will redefine the trend of sequels in Bollywood. Krishika said contrary to the perception about Bollywood reboots, the latest version of Anand L Rai's hit 2011 film of the same name will present an original sequel.
"'Tanu Weds Manu 2' is an extension of its previous part. It's actually a real sequel where Kangana and Madhvan are again playing the lead roles. It continues where it ended unlike the sequels we have in Bollywood where either the storyline is changed or the leads are replaced with other actors," Krishika told PTI.
'Tanu Weds Manu 2' is slated to hit theatres on May 22.
"Script is the hero in the second season. Our aim is to make part two better than the first one though I loved the first. Now we are just left with its final leg of schedule in Haryana in April and some final work in Mumbai," said Krishika, who produced other Bollywood hits like 'Raanjhnaa' and 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela' among others.
