B-Town prays for Orlando victims

In the deadliest mass shooting in American history, American-born Omar Saddiqui Mateen open fired in a gay nightclub in Orlando, on Sunday, killing more than 50 people and injuring 53 others. Mateen was later killed by SWAT officers. The world is shocked by the horrifying incident and many of our Bollywood celebs took to Twitter to express their angst and sorrow.

"Heartbreaking to hear about the #OrlandoShooting May peace come upon this earth.. Prayers for the victims and their families. #prayer for love," Priyanka Chopra tweeted.

Rishi Kapoor said, "Sad, Orlando. Condolences! Hope this does not become political mileage for any. Again one rotten apple story."

"Heart goes out to all families devastated by the Orlando shooting...Your grief is unimaginable and we share it with you. In solidarity," Farhan Akhtar wrote.

Actor Shahid tweeted, "Only God has the right to give and take life #OrlandoNightclub Shooting cannot imagine the pain."

Shraddha Kapoor said, "Shocked to hear about the #OrlandoNightClubShooting. Innocent lives lost yet again. So heartbreaking. Praying for these attacks to stop."

Alia Bhatt tweeted, "Heartbreaking to hear about the #OrlandoNightclubShooting!!! Can just imagine what the families and people are going through. Shocked!"

"Shaken by the brutality, intolerance and hate we have for each other. My heart goes out to all the victims and their families #OrlandoShooting," Bhumi Pednekar wrote.

Atul Kasbekar condemned the incident, "Just how many more gun deaths will it take before #America stuffs whatever constitutional amendments allow such abject stupidity," he wrote.

"Horrified to see the Orlando shooting. My heart goes out to the families and friends of the victims in Orlando. RIP," Madhur Bhandarkar tweeted.

Pulkit Samrat wrote, "Appalling! Awful! Terrible! Prayers to the Orlando shooting victims and strength to their families."

"What happened in Orlando towards the gay and lesbian community is absolutely horrible. My love and support goes out to everyone!," Sunny Leone tweeted.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Madonna, Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga and Ellen DeGeneres among other Hollywood celebrities took to social media to send their love and condolences.
