Apparently your film has a message.
Yes. Dilli Gang is like a mirror of the society. Films are like mirror images of the society. Many films are made on different subjects; some are made for business profits, whereas some makers make films with a feeling of responsibility towards the society.
What is the issue highlighted in Dilli Gang?
It is an inspired film based on our segregated and lonely senior citizens, who get neglected by their own children settled abroad. The film depicts the story of those rich old aged people who face lots of intricacies in their final days of life, who sometimes get robbed or even murdered for their wealth. The film is inspired by many real incidents.
What is your role in the film?
I play the gang leader of the Dilli Gang who commit murders of helpless senior citizens.
How was it like working on the film?
It was a great experience and I learnt a great deal from senior actors like Neena Kulkarni, Darshan Jariwala, Yashpal Sharma, Asif Basra, Aamir Dalvi, etc. and the director Ashish Tyagi handled all of us very nicely.
What is the USP of the film?
Law Minister Kapil Sibbal has written two poems for this film. He saw our film at a special screening and immediately agreed to write the lyrics of two songs for us.
