Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is back on the big screen after a motherhood break with Sanjay Gupta’s adaptation of a Korean legal drama titled ‘Jazbaa’.
Aishwarya is quite positive about the film's prospects as she spoke eloquently at a press meet in a suburban five-star, about the slickly directed thriller about an advocate mother of kids who has quite a case on her hands.
She reveals that the entire supporting cast of Irrfan Khan, Jackie Shroff and Shabana Azmi have performed wonderfully in the film and that she had considered quite a few scripts for her comeback film like Oomung Kumar’s ‘Sarabjit’, a bio-pic etc but she ultimately said yes to Gupta especially after listening to Mani Ratnam, her mentor’s script.
She adds that she has had to do quite a few stunts in the film and she has taken a lot of pain to get the stunts right. She says motherhood has helped her to play the mother of kids in the film especially after she has first hand knowledge of being a super mom to her baby girl. She opines that the film industry has seen quite an upheaval after a lot of women centric films being successful at the box office and also that many Indian stars are conquering fresh waters in Hollywood, a trend started by her.
She admits that she is ready to accept good television offers. Well, all we can say is that the tall, green-eyed beautiful Miss Universe star returns to box office glory with ‘Jazbaa’!
