Debonair model-cum-Bollywood actor Aryan Vaid who is still remembered for his cosy romantic overtures in the very first season of TV show ‘Bigg Boss’ and his striking performances in various movies will stage his comeback of sorts in this movie ‘Tishnagi’ (thirst). Although the musical crime-thriller movie directed by Sameer Khan and produced by Jayant Ghosh, has its share of steamy erotica, Aryan insists that, “since I play an investigating senior police officer, I am not part of those sensuous, sizzling songs”.
Quizzed on what made him return to India after six years , the currently Tampa-Florida (U.S.) based outspoken Aryan who has directed and acted in a couple of award-winning American intense short-films titled ‘Life of Big T’ and ‘When Doves Cry ‘ opens up. “It was the script, the dialogues and my pivotal role of the ‘tough cop’ in this Hindi movie which ‘arrested’ my imagination. My amazing dialogue which goes ‘Chaahe jungle ho, chaahe circus, ‘sher’ apne dahaadne ka andaaz nahin badalta’, has been a roaring success in the widely-watched trailer.
“This suspense-thriller movie is a gripping love-story with an avenging jilted lover-boy psychotic serial killer, whom I am trying to hunt down and apprehend,” enthuses Aryan, who is considering web-series offers to enact unconventional roles. The lead cast of ‘Tishnagi’ also comprises of (popular TV star) Anushka Srivastava, glam-babe Kainaat Arora, Qais Tanveer, Kaveri Priyam, and vivacious Sapna Rathore who have all put in their best. Few are aware, that Aryan is a ‘qualified Chef’ who loves cooking privately for himself and for his winsome American wife Alexandra. “But I am not cut out for cooking under pressure for a large gathering of guests”, he signs off.
