Friday is all set to be a big day for Akshay Kumar, what with 'Holiday' all set to hit the 100 crore mark. The film has already collected 97 crore as of Wednesday.
With A.R. Murugadoss managing yet another 100 crore success against his name on Friday (after 'Ghajini', which started it all), the film would be special for all involved once it enters the century club.
"For Akshay in particular, this is great news as the film would mark his third century after 'Housefull 2' and 'Rowdy Rathore'," comments an observer, "In fact it would be interesting to see the kind of distance it covers beyond 'Housefull 2' which had netted 115 crore. As for 'Rowdy Rathore's' record of 133 crore, it would have to wait for a while."
Meanwhile, as far as his positioning amongst the top superstars is concerned who have a century to their name, Akshay would be now be joining Aamir Khan who again has three 100 crore hits ('Dhoom 3', '3 Idiots', 'Ghajini'). While Salman Khan (6), Shahrukh Khan (4) and Ajay Devgn (4) have more 100 crore hits than him, Hrithik Roshan is now behind with two ('Krrish 3', 'Agneepath').
