Though Ajay Devgn's Shivaay did not work as per schedule, it did not stop the actor from going on movie signing spree. While it was touted that his fans won't get a glimpse of Ajay Devgn this year, it came as a surprise when Nishikant Kamat announced about Drishyam remake going on floor, followed by Milan Luthria's Baadshaho and now the movie added to the list is Fateh Singh, to be directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.
The film which was initially offered to Sunny Deol will now see Ajay Devgn playing the leading man. Rajkumar Santoshi who is currently working on Jis Lahore Nahin Dekhya Woh Jamiya Nahi, will be starting with Fateh Singh by the end of this year. Elaborating on it, Rajkumar mentioned that the script was initially written keeping Sunny Deol in mind but the actor got busy with Ghayal Returns. However, now Rajkumar further added that the script got a complete makeover once Ajay was on board to suit his body of work. As of now, they are ready with a bound script but the rest of the cast and crew details are yet to be finalized.
Though Rajkumar did not divulge any details of Ajay's character, we believe that the actor will be playing the role of a Sardar. He was previously seen in a similar role in Son of Sardar alongside Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha.
