Age ‘knot’ a problem: ‘dulha’ Milind Soman

Thousands of die-hard female fans of debonair agile long-distance runner-model-actor-social crusader, Milind Soman, were disheartened when their macho pin-up ‘Iron Man’ tied the nuptial knot with  charming young Assamese sports-girl Ankita Konwar  (a former air-hostess) over the last weekend at a private ceremony.

Known for his bohemian attitude, the sinewy Soman always had  a disciplined life-style when it came to marathon-running-events and fitness regimes. A broken marriage in the past and relationships split-ups earlier with a bevy of beautiful women, has not demoralised the optimistic Soman,  who first ‘ran-into’ current wifey Ankita during a ‘marathon’ event. Despite their major age-difference, neither Milind nor Ankita nor even their parents had any issues. Proving that like ‘love’, even ‘marriage  too is blind’ !

Meanwhile, rugged Milind scotches rumours that he has taken a ‘sabbatical from acting’ in Bollywood movies. “Hey, that’s not true, I am still in the running and reckoning, but only if the role excites me. In the recent past, I was seen in a striking brief role in SLB’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and in this National Awards-winning Marathi movie ‘Astu’.  There was an interesting cameo role  which I played, in this recent Hindi movie titled ‘Chef’ with lead co-star Saif Ali Khan,” reveals Soman, who incidentally was born in Glasgow (Scotland) and is a qualified electrical engineer. That explains the pleasant ‘shocks’ , he often comes up with!
