Vivacious model-actress Aditi Rao Hydari may have been going through a “luckless phase” with her films like ‘Wazir’, ‘Fitoor’ and ‘Legend of Michael Mishra’ not finding favour with the theatre audiences. But come 2017 and the optimistic Aditi seems poised for a career take-off.
The winsome Aditi is signed on for upcoming movies like the Sanjay Dutt starrer ‘Bhoomi’ which is directed by the National Award winning director Omung Kumar and the prestigious ‘Padmavati’ directed by ‘showman’ Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Besides these two, the actress will also star in Tamil movie ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’, being helmed by the acclaimed Mani Ratnam, which will release in March this year. Although the talented actress hails from royal lineage, she has had no mentor or filmy connections to constantly support or patronize her career.
“Destiny has been my godfather and my good work and dedication has helped in getting me more assignments. Even where the film has not done well, my performances and dances have been appreciated,” said the ‘Murder-3’ heroine who has also been shooting for Sudhir Mishra’s ‘Aur Devdas’ which is a bohemian modern take on the period opus.
A noted film-maker said off-the-record that, “She is among those geenay-chunay Bollywood leading ladies, who project an aristocratic aura with such finesse, combining that earthy connectivity.” Will 2017 catapult Aditi into the big league of top heroines, only time will tell.
