Bollywood Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh’s is all set for his destination wedding with Rukmini Sahay will take place at the Radisson Blu Palace in Udaipur from February 6-9.
The entire hotel of 245 rooms and suites has exclusively been booked for this big fat Indian wedding by the Mukesh’s and over 550 guests are expected. It’s a hush-hush affair and the family wants complete privacy and no non-residents will be allowed in the hotel for four days and three nights. The family has been spending hours to make the wedding memorable for everyone. Neil’s father Nitin Mukesh has painstakingly made many trips to the city of lakes to oversee all the arrangements. Nitin Mukesh was performing at a Festival in Udaipur and fell in love with the city and decided to have his son’s wedding at the palatial and luxurious Radisson Blu Palace in Udaipur on Fatehsagar Lake with a 360 degree view of the Aravallis.
All functions are beautifully planned at different venues of the hotel from the verdant lush lawns, the Udai Chowk, the Grand Ballroom, the Aangan Terrace and the Aravalli Dome by the lake. Neil is a lover of the azure blue water and royal heritage and hence the venue seemed a perfect fit for his creative sensibilities. The entire wedding will be a Musical Extravaganza paying a tribute to the legacy of Neil’s grandfather Mukesh who he was very close to. The Pheras and the Wedding Ceremony will take place on the Rooftop Dome of the hotel overlooking Lake Fatehsagar. Having all five elements of the earth was key to the family and the 7 Khoon Maaf Actor will take the 'saath pheras' amidst the beautiful setting of the Aravallis, the Fatehsagar lake and Sajjangarh Fort.
Culinary experiences are being designed by the Radisson Blu Palace Chefs. The menus are unique and compelling keeping the legend of Mewar in mind fit for royalty. For the welcome dinner the menu is constructed keeping in mind regional cuisines. Different regional food stations are being created which will have the Kashmiri Yakhni, the Bengali Misthi Dahi, the Chettinad Sambar and the Satbari Saag to name of few highlights. The kulfi sorbet will have thirteen fruit flavor ranging from phalsa, jamun, lichi, mango etc. Spiked golas will be on the menu for the After party. A sit down dinner for 550 guests is planned for the wedding day which will be rich, authentic Mughalai Marwari cuisine served on brass thalis with personalized napkins and cutlery.
Neil who’s a staunch PETA activist will enter in a fleet of royal vintage cars. Many Bollywood bigwigs and industrialists are expected. Neil’s father Nitin Mukesh was in Baharain along with Randhir Kapoor to pay a tribute to the Raj Kapoor and Mukesh legacy. The families have had very close relations with the Kapoors and they are all expected at this royal wedding.
Neil and Rukmini’s Wedding is another one following Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput’s arranged marriage. Surprisingly both girls are from non Bollywood background and like Shahid, Neil has taken the unconventional route of marrying outside the film fraternity.
