
Jimmy Mistry, the 37-year-ld mechanical engineer cum architect and the managing director of Della Tecnica Group, is a youth Icon of the Parsi community. A resident of Dadar Parsi Colony, he was instrumental in the revamp and renovation of the Rustom Framna Agiary in 2003.
In 2005, he set up the Parsi Resource group which has today more than 2,500 members and a band of 100 plus volunteers comprising of dedicated, result-oriented, like-minded Zoroastrians. He also launched the world's largest Mobed’s (Zoroastrian cleric) Association with an all-India membership of 757 registered Mobeds and their families.
In 2006, he evolved a unique cashless group Medi-claim policy for 1,417 Mobeds as well as their families through India with coverage up to Rs 2 lakh per family, with a floater of Rs 10 lakh to take care of extreme cases.
He also set up a placement program which has provided job placement to more than 100 Parsis. At present, he is in the process of setting up a state of the art museum of Parsi history and culture at Della Towers in Dadar Parsi colony.
