The Golden Rule
Can the Golden Rule bring solutions to personal and world problems today? Beth Packer says that a deeper look at this ancient rule reveals healing solutions.
"The Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, reveals an infinitely powerful divine law, the law of divine Love," said Packer. "This law of Love carries with it infinite solutions with which to meet the problems faced by both mankind and the environment."
Packer will present a talk titled, "The Golden Rule — a powerful force for good in today's world" on Friday, December 12, 2014 (a). 6:30 p.m. at the Homi J.H. Taleyarkhan Memorial Hall Indian Red Cross Society Compound, Next to Asiatic Library, Opp, Horniman Circle, Fort Mumbai-400001)
"This lecture explores man as the natural expression of God," says Packer. "Whether it is problems regarding our relationships with others, regarding the environment, or a need for better health, the power of divine Love can transform any discordant situation. Audiences will explore how they can utilize this ever operative, all-powerful spiritual Principle in their lives."
Packer's ideas are based on the teachings of Jesus as recorded in the Bible, and as discussed in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
From an early age Beth Packer wanted to help others to experience natural, effective, spiritual healing. An artist, she married and moved with her husband and children to the Middle East. On their return to Australia, she began teaching and winning awards for her work, later starting a retail business with her husband. Packer became very involved in her community and found prayer a valuable resource for finding solutions to the myriad of problems faced. She initiated both community and commercial projects including a regional art event and a community newspaper. It became clear to Packer that the best way she could help the world was through prayer and so, with the same early desire to help and heal others, she became a full-time practitioner of Christian Science healing,
Packer is a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship. She travels from her home in Berry, NSW, Australia.
