Naozer Aga Is "An Easy Rider" Having A Passion For Bikes
Naozer Jamshed Aga’s passions are more down to earth. The 66-year-old ‘young’ man is crazy about his new Honda CBR-1000RR racing bike, which he specially imported from the USA to ride on the roads of Mumbai.
In 1962, Naozer Aga participated in the Motorcycle Championship in the 500cc category at Lohegaon, Pune. He almost won but had to settle for second place. This is not deter the young man’s urge to win the coveted title. The following year, he fought back and won the championship quite comfortably.
When he is in Mumbai, he never misses his weekend trip to Lonavala, with his new partner, a Honda CBR1000RR racing bike. He sets off very early in the morning to avoid traffic jams. Aga says the old Mumbai-Pune highway is ideal for bikers. When we asked him how long he takes to reach Lonavala, he said, casually: “One hour and 40 minutes.”
From Aga’s lifestyle, one can deduce that age is no obstacle to determination and true passion.
