The Nagpur Parsi Anjuman, in its triennial elections held on 31st March, 2013 reelected the same apex body to the helm with Mr. Aspi Bapuna as President and Mr. Shiraz Gimi as Hon. Secretary. The other Office Bearers elected unopposed wre Mr. Navroze Daver as Vice President and Mrs. Nergesh Desai as Treasurer. Elections were held for 7 members and a Lady member with Mrs. Meheroo Watchmaker defeating Mrs. Dolly Batliwala as Lady Member. Members elected were Mr. Shiraz Doongaji, Mr. shahrukh Cassad, Mr. Rusi Godha, Mr. Rayomand Madan, mr. Cyrus Watchmaker, Ms. Prochi Kotwal and Mr. Cyrus Major. The other contesting member Mr. Adi Batliwala could not generate enough votes to be elected.
The faith reposed in the outgoing committee y the voters justified the good work done in the preceding three years when this very same committee took over reins of he Anjuman. The Nagpur Parsi Anjuman is a registered trust which looks into community matters like other Anjumans around India. The community in Nagpur numbers 501 members and is a vibrant, close-knit group who come together to celebrate every occasion.
