Creativity Through Art & Photography

I comme  my professional career as an Art Director at D’Cunha Advertising and as one of my first major achievements I pioneered the concept of Pop Art Advertising on BEST buses for Dipy’s Sauce as a brand.  I visualised and designed several advertising concepts with a few memorable campaigns such as Lakme, Cleartone and Amul Nutramul Dada.

As an Art Director working with maestros in photography like Jehangir Guzder, Adrian Stevens and Mitter Bedi, who’s brilliance and zeal inspired me to take up Photography, there onwards creating an interesting career shift for myself. Having had such great exposure and guidance I turned to mainstream photography  and have been committed to this industry for the past 35 years.  As a photographer I have explored several areas and have worked for leading advertising agencies and corporate clients.  I grew famous with Fashion Photography through my campaigns for Garden Silk, Lakme and Morarjee Textiles.  I am currently also working on several Jewellery campaigns with Mina Jewellers, Minawalla Jewellers, ManuBhai Jewellers and Priority Jewellers.

I did not avoid what the Industry defines as not glamorous and used my skill set to make everyday commodities look appealing.  This took me to being recognized as one of the prominent Industrial Photographers in India.  I also achieved recognition for other projects such as being one of the first photographers in India to introduce QuicktimeVR surround videos for IndiaCar.com.  Having had a wide array of experience in still photography I also ventured into directing advertising and corporate films.

My creative journey does not stop here as my passion for art was recently re-awakened a few years ago by doing something as simple as trying to assist my daughter through art school.  As I continued to create various art forms using different techniques and mediums I began to surprise myself with the  quality of work I produced.  I then started to pursue my hobby into professionally defining myself as an Artist and now have reached a stage where I wish to share my work with the external audience through various platforms.  Creative experience for me stands completed as I am also currently imparting knowledge gained over the years to students at Activity High School to help them learn Photography and Art so they can learn, grow and create thee own forms of expression.
