The stewardship of The Zoroastrian Co-operative Bank Limited has now passed on to the able hands of Mrs. Shernaz D. Mchta who has been associated with the Bank for over 20 years with last 5 years as the Viee-Chairperson of the Bank.

Mrs. Mehta is a Chartered Accountant by profession and has over the years, during her association with the Bank been actively involved in all the various Committees of the Board including heading of the prestigious Credit Committee. During this time, she has been taking a keen interest in the progress of the Bank and has also contributed immensely in the deliberations at the various meetings, for the good of the Bank. Her forte is in the field of credit dispensation and monitoring of the credit portfolio.

At the Meeting dated 12th September. 2013, the Board of Directors of The Zoroastrian Co­operative Bank Limited unanimously appointed her in the presence of a representative of the District Deputy Registrar.

A Banker to the core by profession, she has an exposure over the industry for over 40 years having started her career with Central Bank of India as a financial analyst and ultimately rising to the position of a Chief Manager. Mrs. Mehta, after passing a Chartered Accountancy examination by clearing both the groups simultaneously at the first attempt, gained varied experience during her association with Central Bank of India and thereafter venturing into leasing, merchant banking and investment banking.

Subsequently, she joined Deloittc Touche Tohmatsu as Director - Corporate Finance, from where she retired in 2008 and subsequently taking over as a financial consultant to many companies in the field of manufacturing of Textiles. Speciality Chemicals, Mining and Health Care. etc.

Mrs. Mehta was also an avid sports person in her young days and had represented her school and college in table tennis at the University and National levels, as also in swimming in school and University levels.

Mrs. Mehta is also actively involved in Community and social work with several organizations and is an active member of The World Zoroastrian Chamber of Commerce together with its Women's Wing. i.e. WE which stands for Women Entrepreneurs. She has a penchant for mentoring the younger generation, developing their personality, facilitating net working and driving towards entrepreneurship. In fact, she lakes vast interest in guiding and mentoring youngsters, whose company she is at all times looking forward to. Her ability to motivate the youngsters and grasp their areas of interest has helped many young individuals not only in finding jobs, but also spouses.

She believes in the maxim that there is no substitute for hard work and with honesty and sincerity of approach, coupled with augmenting value system in oneself.

Last but not the least. Mrs. Mehta is very fond of traveling and along with her husband Dara has travelled extensively both within the country as well as Internationally.
