AKU JHA’S GAME OF BRUSH — 2 ART SHOW
Well-known Mumbai based artist Aku Jha is displaying his latest collection of paintings at Jehangir Art Gallery for this weekend. Titled Game of Brush - 2, the paintings are a collection of oil, acrylic and mixed media on canvas and paper. Aku says, “My exhibition will lay emphasis on the beauty of new beginnings of life and joy as well as tears and the stark realities of life in vivid visual formats.” The artist, who completed his art education from MS University in Vadodara, Gujarat, has used his paintings as a medium to showcase various life experiences that you might undergo in an expressive visual language.

Artist Akhilesh Kumar is holding an exhibition of his sculptures and drawings this weekend. He tells us, “My work reflects the concepts of origin and the beginnings of life and is about the seed that germinates afresh with the first drop of rain after the parched sun. In a way, my work has an all-pervading emotion of hope — hope for the continuity of life and of novelty emerging from the nurture.
