Enjoy the moods of monsoon

If you are in the mood for some music that depicts the various moods of monsoon, then head down to Shri Shanmukhananda Hall this Sunday. Pancham Nishad Creatives is holding a concert aptly titled Rain Raga, which will feature artists such as percussionist Taufiq Qureshi, sitar virtuso Purbayan Chatterjee, sufi singer Indira Naik, vocalist Jayateerth Mevundi, tabla player Satyajeet Talwalkar, pianist Vishal Dhumal, percussionist Giridhar Udupa and flautist S. Akash. Telling us about the concept, Shashi Vyas, director of Pancham Nishad, says, “In Indian music, there is an uncanny relationship between time, nature and music and so the concept of seasonal melodies started. Raag Malhar and its variants known as melodies of the monsoon (Varsha Ritu) are the most popular.” The tickets for the concert start at `100 and go up to `500.

Priced at `25 and `49 respectively, these dishes have already been launched all over India and are now making their debut in Mumbai. Speaking about the new sides, Harneet Singh Rajpal, vice president of marketing for Domino’s Pizza India, says, “Given the success of our earlier side dishes such as Pasta Italiano, Chicken Kickers and Stuffed Garlic Bread, we decided to introduce these new dishes to our menu.”

Science doesn’t always have to be boring and this Sunday’s fingerprint workshop in Bandra gives you an opportunity to combine fun and education for your kids.
