Khazana The Oberoi

In the mood for some ghazals? Then head down to The Oberoi, where you will get a chance to hear singers such as Pankaj Udhas, Mitali Singh, Anup Jalota, Talat Aziz, Hariharan, Ahmed Hussain and Abhijit Pohankar in a festival of ghazals called Khazana. The festival is being held in order to raise funds for Cancer Aid and Thalassemia awareness. Pankaj Udhas says, “Through Khazana, our intention is to introduce the future of ghazals to the audience.” The proceeds from the event will go to the continued care and rehabilitation of patients suffering from cancer and thalassemia The event will be managed by The Event Co. It will also be streamed live on the official Facebook pages of Hugama.com, Bollywood Hungama, ArtistAloud.com and Daily Motion. Donor cards, priced at `3,500 a day, are available at Rhythm House.

Waffle’s festival at The Resort

Their 24-hour coffee shop, Baywatch, will be hosting the festival where you can enjoy the monsoons with the lip-smacking snack. Anuj Prakash, the general manger of The Resort, tells us, “In India, waffles are eaten during breakfast. In western countries, waffles are eaten as a staple food. However, with this festival, The Resort would like to introduce waffles as an all-day, mouthwateringly delicious food which can be eaten with all its variations, in sweet and savoury forms. With that objective in mind, our executive chef Harun Sonone has created a menu to suit the Indian palate while retaining the uniqueness of the dish.”

Monsoon festival at 5 All Day
The European café 5 All Day is celebrating the monsoons with a newly launched monsoon menu. The menu, which has been created by Chef Moy, uses seasonal ingredients such as gourd and highlights them using the café’s popular smoked technique. Chef Moy tells us, “This monsoon, I have kept the menu hearty and interesting and we offer some really tasty options for vegetarians such as the Bottle Gourd Soup and Colocasia Crepe. The cafe’s signature smoked technique that is a favourite among regulars could not be left out, so the Tomato Rubbed Smoked Chicken is another popular item on the menu.”
