ART
Monsoon collection by Govind Dumbre

Renowned artist Govind Dumbre is presenting his monsoon collection at Satguru’s this season. The shop will showcase a vast collection of monsoon themed, bright accessories along with a collection of Maldives themed glass, mural glass and art glass. Anmol Babani, managing director of Satguru’s, says, “Dumbre, whose work involves monsoon settings, makes for a perfect theme for the onset of this season. Being from Pune, he showcases scenes of Pune, Mahableshwar and Mumbai during the rains. His paintings depict the spirit of the people, who are leading their normal lives during the monsoons. He uses a knife as his medium for painting quite extensively. The main highlights of Dumbre's paintings are the effect of rains on the street and rooftops and also the reflection in water puddles on the streets.”

Today with mall culture, brands go on sale to attract customers. Since we have our retail presence in a number of leading malls, we decided to be a part of this trend. COMMUTE IN STYLE
Beat the travel blues

Travelling in Mumbai can be a headache. Whether it’s because of the bad traffic or infrequent and often rude public transport, it is not something we look forward to every morning. This is where newly launched cab service, TABcab, comes to our rescue. Prasenjeet Bagchi, chief marketing officer of TABcab tells us, “TABcab is the first tendered phone fleet or radio taxi service in India with a license from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Transport Authority. We currently have 1,200 cars running in the city and intend to carve a niche with our quality of cars.” The fleet features luxurious cars such as the Toyota Etios and Maruti SX4, with all cars featuring in-cab infotainment where you can watch movies, promos and news and also survey maps and check out the latest deals in the city. The most unique feature about TABcab is that instead of fare receipts, you will be handed a boarding pass! While not much of a difference between the two, it does help the fleet stand apart from others.
