Patra Ni Machi
Danesh Vakshoor, Chef de Cuisine of SodaBottleOpenerWala , shares his recipe for this timeless classic
Ingredients
One Coconut
Coriander 250 gm
Mint 50 gm
Garlic 40 gm
Green chilli 50 gm
Lemon juice 40 ml
Whole jeera 15 gm
Sugar (optional) 30 gm
Pomfret(250gm) three pcs
Ginger garlic paste 10 gm
Method
1 Wash coriander, mint, coconut, green chilli.
2 In a grinder blend coconut, whole jeera, coriander, mint garlic and green chilli to a paste.
3 Season it with salt, lemon juice and sugar depending on taste.
4 Clean pomfret and cut it into desired size.
5 Apply ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, salt to fish and allow to rest for one hour in refrigerator.
6 Then apply the coconut coriander paste to the fish and wrap it with banana leaf and cook in steam.
7 Serve Patra ni machi with warm rotli.
