Dragon Boat Festival
Yauatcha, the dim sum teahouse from London is celebrating The Dragon Boat Festival. The celebrations till month- end will include a long limited edition menu crafted to offer dishes that are traditionally eaten during the festival with Yauatcha’s contemporary touch. It features gooey, aromatic zongzi or glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo or lotus leaves and stuffed with savoury or sweet fillings, wok dishes along with a festive dessert.
“We have created new sticky rice dum sums and a wine based dessert to stay true to our tradition in China,” says Head Chef Eimi Zhang.

The 10-course thaal experience
The Bohri Kitchen and Lucknowee are joining hands to give you an Eidi experience. They are hosting a 10-course thaal experience at The Flea Bazaar Café where one can enjoy some authentic Bohri food like TBK’s signature Mutton Kheema Samosas along with Lucknowee’s melt-in-the-mouth Tunday Kebabs.
On the 10-course menu, apart from their signatures, one can warm up with dishes like Chicken Anarkali – a white sauce-based chicken, made in a tandoor and wrapped in a foil, the TBK Classic, Raan in Kaju Masala – which is 1-1.5 kg leg of the lamb marinated for 48 hours in special kaju masalas and cooked for three hours till the meat becomes tender. Alter between a sweet and a savoury course with the tempting Malai Khaja – a Bohri pastry stuffed with fresh malai.
The main course comprises Chicken Angara – a smokey flavoured fried onion and tomato-based gravy with soft pieces of chicken and Dum White Chicken Biryani which is made in a layered style with white Afghan spices and juicy pieces of chicken with small roasted potatoes. End the meal on a sweet note with TBK’s hand-churned Saancha Ice cream and some Magai Jodi Paan.

Goan thali
Lady Baga has launched a thali-style Express Lunch Goan fare menu. Each thali includes one dal, a vegetarian preparation without gravy like tendli and fresh coconut, steamed rice and a choice of freshly made Goan poee or chappatis. Mains include one Chicken Cutlet, Cafreal Chicken and Santan Chicken within the Chicken Thali. The Mutton Thali comes with one Mutton Pan Roll; Kheema and Mutton Xacuti, made using local Xacuti masala. Seafood lovers can try the Prawn or Fish thalis, both of which include crispy Fry Bombil, Clam Sukhe and Goan Fish curry. All thalis will also include Papad, Pickle, Stuffed Mirchi, freshly made Chaas or buttermilk, and one dessert. The dal and vegetable will change on a daily basis.
The thalis are priced between Rs 300 – 500, plus taxes. The Express Lunch menu is served from Monday – Friday, between 12 – 4 pm only.
